Dr. Haryono Soeparno, M.Sc, CDACS, currently serves as an Associate Professor in the field of Computer Science, and Head of Program in Computer Science, Doctor of Computer Science Program, Binus University, Jakarta. He has been a Faculty Member of School of Computer Science, Binus University since 1984. He has experience and a Speaker in Digital Transformation and Innovation, Human Capital Management, Knowledge and Innovation, as well as Research and Innovation Management. He has served as Board of Jury for Digital Transformation and Innovation Awards, Governance, Risk, and Compliance Awards, Human Capital and Performance Awards, and Environmental, Social, and Governance Awards.
He had served as Member of National Research Council and concurrently Chairman of Food and Agriculture Technical Committee, Ministry of Research and Technology, for the periods of 2011–2015, and 2016–2019.
He also had served as Director General of the Indonesia Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (DG of IAARD), Ministry of Agriculture, Republic of Indonesia (2010–2015), guiding the work of 4000 scientists and innovators; He was the architect and first President of the international Platform for Co-development and Transfer of Technology under the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA), which was officially recognized by G-20 and connected to the G-20 Tropical Agriculture Platform. Under his tenure, the conceptualization, design, consultations and development of the Platform was undertaken, including the one-stop online rice technology transfer platform.
In that period concurrently served as Director General of Agricultural Human Resource Development, ad interim (May 2012 to January 2013), Director General of Processing and Marketing of Agricultural Products, ad interim (February to December 2013) and Director General of Food Crops, at interim (June to December 2014), Ministry of Agriculture.
